New Hampshire Weekend

Last weekend we visited Brad, Shelley, Ellie and Ava Chappell. We spent a few hours outside in the snow on Saturday, then went to a hockey game that night. N.H. played Wilkes Barre ... and PA won, but not without a fight. Brad even let Shelley and I stop at Starbucks on the way to the game ;) *Brendan ~ I think I've been fully converted from Dunkin' to Starbucks !!!

Thanks for a relaxing, yet fun weekend :)

Our day today

No school today, so Jackson wanted to go and visit his old teachers at Bright Horizons. He had gone here for 5+ years, so he has an attachment and fond memories. He occasionally asks me if we can visit. After that, we went to Toys R Us to spend some money. Those gift cards were burning a whole in his pocket (just like his mom ... right Dave?) After that, we met Gordon, Sue and Laura back at our house.
Jackson spent some quality time w/ his Grandpa Gordon over chicken nuggets, french fries and McDonald's play land.

While Sue, Laura and I had lunch at the Country Trunk in East Greenbush, which is a gift shop w/a restaurant. It was cozy, quaint and feminine ... not a man in sight. It was nice to have some uninterrupted time to chat.

Saturday night we went to Laura and Brian's house for dinner. Gordon and Sue were there too. We had a nice time. The highlight of the night (besides the pulled pork) was that I was the wooden puzzle CHAMPION! Isn't that right, Gordon and Dave?

The group, minus Gordon & Jackson. Jackson ended up falling asleep right after dinner.

La cena el estilo mexicano with the family

Dave's Uncle Ray and Aunt Kathy were in town, so we met them and Gordon, Sue, Laura (and baby), and Brian at Pancho's for dinner. It was yummy as usual. Afterward, we went back to Gordon and Sue's for dessert where Jackson enjoyed some reading time w/ Grandma.

Ringing in the New Year

On New Year's Eve we had Claude & Rebekah and Laura & Brian over for dinner. Everyone brought something yummy. Dave's been adventuresome and has been branching out into the kitchen. He made beef tenderloins and once again, they were delicious. We all made it to midnight, well, almost everyone ;)

Happy New Year Everyone !
